August 21 – Soaring on Unseen Currents

Commit your way to YHWH, and trust in YHWH (Psalm 37:5)

The majestic Wedge-tailed Eagle, our largest bird of prey, serves as a powerful symbol of the spiritual principle of commitment. As it rides the invisible thermal currents, the eagle demonstrates an unwavering trust in the unseen forces of nature. With its wings outstretched, it effortlessly navigates the skies, harnessing the power of the wind to reach extraordinary heights. The eagle’s flight is a testament to the strength and resilience that can be found in surrendering to a higher power.

Just as the eagle commits itself to the currents of the wind, the Psalmist encourages us to commit our ways to the Divine. In a world filled with complexity and uncertainty, it is easy to become overwhelmed by the challenges we face. Yet, by placing our trust in the sacred, we open ourselves to the flow of grace that can carry us through even the most turbulent times. Like the eagle, we can learn to soar above our troubles, finding peace and perspective in the embrace of the Divine.

Reflection:

1. How can I cultivate a deeper sense of trust in the unseen forces that guide my life?

2 In what ways can I surrender my fears and doubts to the Divine, allowing myself to be carried by the currents of grace?

Prayer:

Divine Presence, help me to commit my way to you, trusting in your loving guidance. May I learn to soar on the unseen currents of your grace, finding strength and peace in the midst of life’s complexities.
